'This ink is only visible or invisible when exposed to a source of infrared light'
What is infrared? Infrared or infrared radiation is electromagnetic radiation that is not perceptible to the human eye, with wavelengths between approximately 780 nanometers and 1 mm (106 nm), ie between the (visible) red light and microwaves.
Although infrared is not visible to the naked eye, we can perceive it as radiant heat. When we talk about inks, this heat does not apply.
Infrared security ink There are two types of infrared security inks, one visible and one invisible under the influence of IR light.
Transparent infrared security ink Under normal light conditions, the unique identification is invisible to the human eye, but only under the influence of infrared light.
Black infrared security ink Under normal lighting conditions, only black printing can be seen. The black is invisible under IR light.
